Hi all.. Long time no blog... The dust is settling already, haha... I won't have time to do much blogging in the near future anyway... School has started and I want to concentrate on my studies... And I joined two CCAs, so I will be quite busy... I know some of you out there can't imagine life without television, bowling, going out with friends and stuff, but yeah, that's the life that I'm going to start leading pretty soon...

Today was already such a tiring day... Yet I didn't do any exercise at all... Which is precisely the point - when you've been using your brains the whole day and don't do any brainless sweat-inducing activity, that's when your brain starts to get foggy... And boy is my brain fogged... -_-" Naturally, I'd rather have muscular fatigue rather than mental fatigue, but I'm having both mental fatigue and muscle aches... I'm bushed...

Haha, yeah, finally going inside CCHSM for the first time... On Wednesday... I've only seen it from the outside, never even been inside the gate yet... But then there's going to be a table tennis competition and I'm going... Muahaha, Hy, I'm gonna thrash you... And I ttrust that you won't mind if I push you into the lake? I just hope there aren't any piranhas in there... (grin)

I'm really glad the my dan1 dao1 has improved by a great margin... Plus Tingyew told me about some things that I should change... Thanks a lot, man... lao3 shi1 said that my movements were a bit too small... At least with Tingyew's help, I now know what I can improve on, haha... Thanks again...

For all those who want to see the set of moves that I want to do, copy and paste this --> (http://www.wushucentral.com/videos/v.php/international/2003_world_games/men_broadsword) to see... Download the Singapore guy, we must be patriotic, must we not? Haha, It's about as big as an MP3 song, so it's only advisable for those who have broadband...

Anyway, that's all for now, I need some sleep... ByeZ...

Haha, yesterday was the 3rd and last day of orientation for the SRJC freshmen. What can I say, except that it was terribly, horribly, awfully wonderful!!! Ok, it wasn't so interesting in the early morning, but that was because there was a talk...

After that, we proceeded to have the station games! That was really fun... Our 1st 2 stations were both floorball... I didn't take part for the sake of winning... Still, in the end, we lost the first game, but then won the second... :D

The 3rd station was Alphabet Step. There were individual alphabets pasted on the floor all around the hall. We (my Orientation Group) guys had to step on them in order of A-Z in the fastest time possible. We had enough time for 3 tries. And on the last try, we acheived a time of 17 seconds!!! 3 cheers for Zeal 6, ohm ark!!!

We played Captain's Ball at the next station, the 4th one, and won by an embarassing margin, so much so that I shall let it remain undisclosed... -_-"

5th station was the mud-crawl. There was a muddy patch of the field with a spiderweb of string suspended above it. We had to crawl on our stomachs past the patch without touching the strings above, then run to a basin full of coloured opaque water, stick our heads in it, find a sweet in there, pick it up with your mouth and drop it onto the bench then run back to the starting line. The next person would then start again... It finishes when all the sweets are out of the basin... We won, I think... Not too sure... After going to clean up a little, we proceeded to the 6th station.

The 6th station had 3 buckets and 2 opposing teams. 1 of the buckets was filled with water at the start. Some people on both teams were blindfolded and were given cups. They had to transfer the water from the one bucket to their own team's bucket. The rest of the people would guide the blindfolded people to and fro. Soon, the original bucket full of water was empty. All the water was in the 2 team's buckets, so we had to start stealing water from each other until time was up... At the end, 1 station master said it looked like a draw, then the other station master came and looked... And say that we lost, ugh... -_-" too bad...

At the 7th station, here were 2 long benches and a start and a finish line 10-15 metres apart, plus a big basin half-filled with water. 10 people had to participate. We had to transfer the basin from the start to finish line. No one must touch the ground. The basin too. We had to make use of the benches to get the basin over. The station masters gave us 2 mins to discuss a plan, then we started. So the plan went like this: 10 people stood on one bench, with someone in the middle holding the basin. They would then move the other bench to the other end, towards the finish line, then everybody would go to that bench. They repeated the cycle until the basin of water and everyone was at the finish line. I don't think we made very good time though, but it's ok...

The 8th and last station was the 3 legged race. We had to race with another Orientation Group to each of our team's bucket. It was filled with water and had ping pong balls with a letter written on them floating around in it. Each "3-legger" from the seperate groups had to race there and get a ping pong ball... We had to spell out "Discere Servire" with the balls... We finished first! Or so we thought... -_-" The other team finished first because we eventually found out that we were missing an "R"... By that time, it was too late...

After that, it was back to the hall. After a short briefing, we had a break. After that, we and another OG (Gusto, I think...) went to the gallery to wait for the other 3 OGs to finish learning the mass dance. At the same time, there happened to be a friendly soccer match between SRJC and VJC. Haha, it was so exciting! Too bad that we had to leave halfway to start learning the dance, but then the dance was fun too! We learnt how to dance to BoA's No. 1!!! It was quite rigorous and I really enjoyed it! After we finished learning it, we had a rest, then dinner. Some food, bleagh... -_-"

We proceeded back to the hall after dinner to watch the performance by the selected Peer Leaders and Assistant Peer Leaders of each Orientation Group. After the Peer Leaders had performed, there was a percussion performance by a local "unknown" band. They were really good and the music they performed was really catchy! After that, we were dismissed. That was the end of a wonderful day... Sigh, why don't they have things like these every term? Haha, I definitely would love SRJC then! As it is, I don't think I'll get the chance to dance either the college dance or the mass dance again... Sigh... That's just too bad...

Anyway, I think I've written a long enough entry. I've got to go, byeZ...

Ok, first, let you know more about yesterday. That was the first day at school. It was dry as dust. Dead boring. Learnt some cheers and the Orientation Group Leaders (known as OGLs from here onwards,) took us around the school to ah, orient ourselves... -_-"

The second day was more interesting, haha. I went to school early and met my friend Hong Xiang (ex-Andersonian) outside the Lecture Theaters. Still as er, interesting as before... Haha, nice if sometimes queer guy... Yeah, nice day... Had the college dance, it's a wonderful dance... I liked it lots! XD I didn't know that I really enjoyed dancing! I do have to question their choice of music though... -_-" On the whole, it was a much more fun day than yesterday... 3 cheers for OGLs, ohm ark!

As for tomorrow, We'll be doing more dances and there's going to be a campfire. I should think that it'll end after 8... I'm expecting to have a good time... But then there'll be games... I don't like those, but we'll see...

Haha, when I got into SRJC, I already knew 14 people there... Haha, amazing... From Anderson, there is Hong Xiang (in JC2), Jun Liang, Jun Xiang, Jia Guang, Yi Bin, a malay guy whose name I don't dare to spell in case I get it wrong, Tommy and Yoke Leng. From Ai Tong, there is Gideon, Li Ying and Joyce. As for the church guys, there's Freedy (in JC2), Peter and Kaleb. Cool... Toot Gang Reunited (Unlimited)... -_-" Too bad our prestigious figurehead president Andrew decided to go to a polytechnic... That's sad...

Anyway, I think that's enough of blogging for now... ByeZ & NiteZ...

Changi Village

Haha, I didn't expect to have such a wonderful evening today. I had no inkling, no warning whatsoever. Good thing I was online in the afternoon huh, Gideon? Haha, Gideon told me over MSN this afternoon that Fiona was leaving to study in Australia in the evening. Told me to meet him and Timothy at Airport MRT Station at 7.

I was late.

As we were finding our way in T2, we met Jeffery, Shaun and Edmund. We found Fiona eventually. Haha... We, the 10th grade friends arrived on the scene first. Then, outside the departure gates, we waited for her other... more immediate friends to arrive. Immediate as in classmates and schoolmates and the like. We found ourselves being shunted to one side as they arrived... -__-" Ah well, whatever. Someone said we 6 standing together looked mature though. Finally.

After some picture taking and the like, we left for Changi Village. Stuffed ourselves silly with food. I had one plate of Beehoon Goreng, one Cheese Prata, one Plain Prata and also ate a big part of the Indian Rojak. Yummy... And not forgetting the Milo Freeze I bought from 7-11...

All in all, we had a great time. And seeing three Samsung E700A's appearing at the same hawker center table was an eye-opening experience, was it not? ^^ Haha, it was great being with my primary school friends again. What a night... ByeZ!

Bdae

March 15 was my birthday. Exactly 9 people wished me a happy one. It's better than previous bdaes already. Sometimes, one would think that the unusual power I haf (the Gift of Annonimity) is a good thing, but not at times lyk these, no way.

Sometimes, I just think to God: Y did you give me such an introverted personality? I realise that it is not really biblical either.. But then, God has a plan for every one of us. I guess it's time to change. Or at least, try to.

I had my first bdae cake in about 10 years too. Things r lookin up. Wanna thank all those hu care for mi, thx for all ya've done, especially JL. You've bin juz great. Oh yeah, I was baptized last Sunday, but I haven't changed my name. I'm still Rayson.

This is Rayson signing off, heres to everyone --> byeZ & niteZ, sleep tight

phoenix
You are a PHOENIX in your soul and your
wings make a statement. Huge and born of flame,
they burn with light and power and rebirth.
Ashes fall from your wingtips. You are an
amazingly strong person. You survive, even
flourish in adversity and hardship. A firm
believer in the phrase, 'Whatever doesn't kill
you only makes you stronger,' you rarely fear
failure. You know that any mistake you make
will teach you more about yourself and allow
you to 'rise from the ashes' as a still greater
being. Because of this, you rarely make the
same mistake twice, and are not among the most
forgiving people. You're extremely powerful and
wise, and are capable of fierce pride, passion,
and anger. Perhaps you're this way because you
were forced to survive a rough childhood. Or
maybe you just have a strong grasp on reality
and know that life is tough and the world is
cruel, and it takes strength and independence
to survive it. And independence is your
strongest point - you may care for others, and
even depend on them...but when it comes right
down to it, the only one you need is yourself.
Thus you trust your own intuition, and rely on
a mind almost as brilliant as the fire of your
wings to guide you
.You are eternal and because
you have a strong sense of who and what you
are, no one can control your heart or mind, or
even really influence your thinking. A symbol
of rebirth and renewal, you tend to be a very
spiritual person with a serious mind - never
acting immature and harboring a superior
disgust of those who do
. Likewise, humanity's
stupidity and tendency to want others to solve
their problems for them frustrates you
endlessly. Though you can be stubborn,
outspoken, and haughty, I admire you greatly.

...? This is soooo not me... Indepent? Rough childhood? Not forgiving? Independant, rough childhood and not forgiving my ass... Only some things apply... The ones in bold... Plus, my mind is brilliant... Who doesn't know that? And so what if I actually have a great brain? Being intelligent but lazy at the same time doesn't do you much good... Stubborn? Maybe. Haughty? No way. Outspoken? Way crap.

Problems Fixed

Hi everyone...!

I figured out what was the problem with the darn-wallpaper-that-wouldn't-appear-on-my-website. Got it fixed. I don't want to go into detail about it though... Frustrating... -_-"

Have a few cool extras too! Now this website plays a different midi song for every day of the week! There are repeats, but that was because I only had limited resources where midi is concerned...

Anyway, I have to go out to run an errand soon, so yeah, gtg... ByeZ all...

Mission Successful: Blog Modded

Yay! Got up early specially to modify my blog! Haha, with whatever limited HTML programming power I have, I transformed my blog into a not-completely-template-looking blog. Admittedly, you can still see that it is the original "Sand Dune" template... -_-"

Hey, but all you out there must at least commend my efforts, if not appreciate it, because it's been what, 6 years since I last edited a HTML script? So, by trial and error, I finally did it, yeah...

Details are a little sticky, but I found out some colour codes: #000000-Black, #999999-Grey, #FFFFFF-White, #0033FF-Blue. I also created the wallpaper myself! It actually was the wallpaper I designed for my Nokia 6100 because it doesn't cost money to design your own wallpaper and transfer it to the phone through IR. Haha, it even has "Wallpaper by Chia Bing Ren Rayson" written on it... -_-"

Anyway, I've gotta go, so I'm signing off now.... ByeZ all!
