The operation's done. On 25th August 2006, at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
3 holes drilled into my right shoulder; 2 in front, 1 behind.
The front 2 for the surgery (strengthening of my prone-to-recurrent-dislocation right shoulder), and the rear one for the camera. Each hole requires 2 stitches. My right arm's in a sling.
It's real weak now, and I'm typing purely with my left hand. Agonizing. I beg your pardon for any typing errors found in this entry. =)
That doesn't stop me from falling in love with another electric guitar... I need two more electric guitars (One shredding guitar, one strat), a bass, electric drums, not forgetting a mixer, before my house can become a jamming studio. ^^ Oh yeah, nearly forgot! Need another electric guitar amp, a dedicated acoustic amp, and an electric drum amp to go with the instruments!
I HAVE A BIG CRUSH ON
The shredding guitar: Jackson X-series Warrior
A 24 fret, double-locking tremolo, double humbucking black explorer. Bleah, couldn't find one with an extra single coil pickup in the middle...
The standard pickups're Duncan Designed though... Think those have to be changed... Well, have to listen to them first to decide... Wonder if the metallic red Warrior is nicer...?
The rest, just refer to my "Wants" list at the right. ^^
Paula (My Epiphone Les Paul Classic) seems to be rather popular with some of the guys... Think she'll look even better with a complete set of metallic orange Dean Markley strings. DR Extra Lifes rock, though I don't think they're better than Elixir strings... But you've got to admit - coloured strings definitely look better. ^^
Love Bites by Def Leppard's a great song. Go find it on YouTube! It has completely no meaning in a christian context though, it's just a nice song. =)

Haha, how things have changed in such a short span of time. Last time i blogged, I was still with KTSC, MT Line... It's all different now. I'm now a clerk at 23 SA. Contrary to popular belief, being a clerk is not slack, especially where I come from. It's tiresome, gruelling, and I often find myself having vast mental undercurrents of physical violence toward my chief clerk. Never met a person I'd dislike more.
Moving on, I discover that I treasure my civillian moments more and more as my national service wears on. I love being with the church people. On national day, I went to Tanjong Beach at Sentosa for a district outing. My God it was so fun. I realised that I never enjoyed Sentosa more in my life. I met Junming there to collect the Planetshakers concert tickets from him. God, I really really miss him... Now that I'm so much more spiritually mature than when I came into church more than 6 years ago, I realise how dedicated he was back then, and now that I know his level of dedication back then, I want to appreciate him, but chances these days are few and far between! But I'm not going to care, I owe him, at the very least, a life of dedication to God's cause...
Went to the Planetshakers concert yesterday (Friday 12/08/06). It was awesome... The bass rocked the entire Max Pavillion at the Singapore Expo! Loved it. People say that the worship wasn't particularly administering. I don't care! I knelt all the same, 'cause I wanted God to know that I'm determined to do His work whatever the situation was, and wherever it happened. I really enjoyed the concert.
The best part came after the concert though! It felt awesome t be back with North-East, at least for a while. I SERIOUSLY MISS YOU GUYS! Not that Central is any worse, mind you, but my current level of comfort is within NE... The fellowship, the banter, it was all so warm and fuzzy and familiar... Being part of their family for 5 to 6 years has really attached me to them.
But don't get me wrong! I may be serving a little out of my comfort zone, but I'm still ultra determined to do something awesome in the NS ministry. It's hard, but I'm hell bent on keeping God as my sole source of strength in the mounting face of adversity! YEAH!
Oh yeah, and the ice was finally broken! I'm really glad for that. I don't expect that many will know what I'm talking about here. If you don't, then it's alright, let's keep it that way. =) I loved being with all of you guys at the airport desperately poking round for morsels! =D
YES, I've gotten new strings for my Les Paul, and they're a cool shade of red. They're DR Extra Lifes... And they actually sound different from the old stirngs! Rocks man. Nah, forget rocks. Make that boulders. =D
