Just slightly more than a month more to the end of my mc. I don't wanna let this time go to waste... I think I've been taking rain checks on too much stuff... Gotta be more disciplined for God. =) Sometimes it's ridiculous when you sit back, evaluate yourself, and think how far away from that perfect standard you are. It's hard to put unscrew your mindset when you realise that you need a drastic change of perspective. How hard is it to remember that nothing in the world belongs to you at all times? The answer is that it's really not easy, considering that most people live lives built around self-centeredness.
Thank God that God blessed me with great spiritual families. Hope is a place in which you can actually do stuff for God! That means one thing - when you're called to Hope, God wants you to be a living, breathing, working member of His family. You don't just join Hope for no purpose. =D C'mon, how come it's so hard to get sheep in NS!?!? P.U.S.H. --> Pray Until Something Happens
Oh here's a pic that was taken a little more'n a fortnight ago..:

Taken at a park near Nick's house. =) Nick, me, Elise, Jiehui, Angela and Martin (Photographer -.-") decided to celebrate what was it again? Haha, never too good with these Chinese festivals... Um, forget it, I don't remember. =P Anyway, we played with sparklers and swings. No no, wait, put your eyes back in, we didn't play with sparklers and swings simultaneously (Are you mad!?!?), we took things one at a time. Nicholas didn't though, although considering the folly of such an action (burning 10 sparklers at one go), he should have. =D Here's a pic of what happened..:

Wise man, that Nicholas. Now what was tha Bible verse again? Hmm, let there be light..? Well there was light alright. Tons of it. -.-" All of us couldn't see a thing for 5 secs after that decade of sticks burned out. Veritable flashbang... Well, can't deny it was fun. I stamped my mark as the champion swinger among all of them! Haha, who wants to challenge? Not too long though, I'll get motion sickness. =P
Anyway, on to other things. I'm highly determined to get me last guitar by the age of 30. If I'm able to even come up with that amount of money, I'll impose a price ceiling of SGD$15000.00 on myself. Plans of the custom-made guitar are well underway (in my head). Anyone wants to introduce to me a reputable solid body electric guitar luthier, overseas or otherwise..? Effects wise, a Tone Zone pedal and a multieffects board shall be enough. Compact rig. Amp? Haha, I'll consider that after the guitar is done.
Wonder if I can pursue a career in music..? After NS? Finish up A.B.R.S.M. Grade 8 theory and practical for classical piano, then enrol in La Salle. Teaching music seems to be an intersting proposition, what with my forays into other musical instruments...
Well, today's a public holiday and naturally, the NS unit would definitely have planned something. Well, in a nutshell, we went to Marina Square for bowling and pool/dota. People in the arcade (younger teens) were staring at muscular NS guys (Harry, Hanyang, Matthew, Guofeng) smashing away intensely at the BishiBashi game after playing pool. I didn't feel so bad, courtesy of being mistaken for a 15 year old recently. =D
Martin's learnt how to cycle! I shall refine his riding technique tomorrow evening, although I'm seriously unaccustomed to riding around like a snail on a sidewalk.
Enough blogging for now I guess. Worship, The Vision Driven Life, and the Holy Bible await my perusal Have a good day!

Hmm learnt that warming up is important if you want to play fast and accurately on electric guitar... It seems to have helped! Was fooling around with my Les Paul when suddenly this metal lead line came growling outta my amp! -.-" A few more tweaks and it actually sounded good, I'm pretty pleased to say. ^^ Love my intuitiveness at times. =) In the middle of composing a piece of music with Christian lyrics. Well, the music is done, actually, but the lyrics are the hard part. The chorus is settled, now I'm trying to look into Psalms for the verses. =D
Thaddeus wants me to learn this song by McFly... Ballad of Paul K. Bring the house down man. Harmonise-mania returns to Steadfall! Must learn from the harmonising greats. The Eagles, The Beatles to some extent, The Bee Gees (who can neclect to mention them!?!?)
I've decided on how to mod my Les Paul... I'm gonna change the pickups! Throw on a pair of Seymour Duncans, an SH-PG1n Pearly Gates in the neck, and an SH-5 Duncan Custom in the bridge. My Epiphone'll sound just like a really hot Gibby! Can't wait, muahahas... At the same time, I'm changing all the chrome hardware to gold. Currently my pickups are open coil, I'll get a pair of gold pickup covers to go with the new Duncans then. Yes, even the chrome Grovers'll be changed to gold ones. It's gonna be one classic-lookin', ultra warm-sounding Les Paul. Turbocharged P.A.F. on steroids. =D
On a more sombre note, my physiotherapy at Tan Tock Seng Hospital is really tough. Guess 'cause I stated my aims as nearly full recovery, with the ability to engage once again in sports (I seriously miss basketball and wushu). My arms are aching from yesterday's physiotherapy. It's aching REALLY bad, hahas. -.-" At this rate, I'm gonna look like Arnold Shwarzenegger soon... Then again, I like it, 'cause I know my body can take it. It's a body that's been through lots physically and I couldn't be happier with it. ^^
Went cycling earlier today (or yesterday depending on your point of view; look at the time~!!!). Burst my rear bicycle tyre! Blast! And instead of enjoying myself with wind-in-my-hair pedaling, I had to walk my bike to a shop in Serangoon North. Got a new inner tube for my rear wheel, AND a new rear tyre as well! It totally rocks! I love that new Maaxis semi-slick rear tyre, it's totally smooth when I'm riding it on the road! Glad my Dad's paying for it... Was altogether 40 bucks... I love my parents. ^^ Seriously.
Anyway, back to music... Have been trying to learn the piano part for Biaxident, but it's awesomely hard, no kidding! Thank God for Guitar Pro 5, but learning it is really tough and slow going... Um, learnt pentatonic scaling from Wikipedia too (my new best friend on the internet, lol~), for electric guitar. Well, now I've learnt it, I need to know how and when to use it. Hope someone can give me tips. I'm so glad I've learnt Theory of Music before, glad that I was a submissive child that succumbed to my parents forcing piano and onto me when I was young even though I didn't like it. I still don't like it, but now, I'm really grateful for it. ^^
